Styles and Major Options Edit

Gas Mileage Edit

With LPG at half the price of regular fuel and efficiency being around 50% more fuel than a regular falcon (15l/100km) it works out to be a 25% saving on fuel: Fuel is 1.30 per litre LPG is 65 c per litre

1.5x65c = 98cents. Therefor having an egas falcon is like being able to buy fuel for 32cents per litre cheaper than for a regular falcon. This equation works even better when comparing to cars like the Nissan Maxima (a magnificient car) and the Accord which require a minimum of 95 octane with the nissan reccommended to run on 98 octane.

Engine and Transmission Edit

The Falcon’s in-line six-cylinder makes 209 brake horsepower and 374Nm running on LPG — 46 brake horsepower and 9Nm down on the unleaded models. As a result, throttle response is initially a bit sluggish and the engine loses enthusiasm at higher revs. But the muscular mid-range response means it is still a swift means of transport. For the BF II the 4 speed auto gearbox was substantially upgraded. It is has better cooling systems and reliability is improved.

That said if you drive one and the gearbox is particularly loud and wines like a taxi take car, it shouldn’t. Maybe buy the vehicle and have it looked over by a mechanic while it is under new car, after market or statutory waranty.

Performance Edit

Please make sure to write information of the vehicle’s performance in a third-person point of view . This section should include information about the car’s acceleration figures . handling . braking . etc.

If using information gathered from Road Test articles from a reputable automotive source, then please make sure to cite the quote .

Reliability Edit

Warranty options and scheduled maintenance information should be mentioned here.

RECALL ALERT . There is a concern over a brake booster check valve that could start a vacuum leak. BF and FG sedans, wagons and utes are most likely affected.

Safety Edit

The BF E-Gas Falcon Series I and II Utilities do not have the same standard safety features of the regular falcon (This is the case regardless of E-Gas or unleaded). The Utility only has one airbag as standard, no ABS, stability control or even traction control. However, appart from stability control these were available as options.
