The all-new 2008 Honda Accord Sedan is a headtuner. It lures with its beautiful and swanky look that adds more style to it. This sedan is mated with 5 speed manual transmission and automatic gearbox. The top end variant of Honda Accord is equipped with 3.5L, V6, i-VTEC engine that produces a max power of 275 PS at 6200 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 339 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The same automatic 5 speed transmission is incorporated in this higher displacement engine.

The all new i- VTEC engine in Honda Accord promises better fuel economy with Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management Technology. The engine gives superb environmental performance and meets Euro-IV emission levels and is E-10 compliant. The new looks of Honda Accord 2008 in India is geared towards the E-class proportions. The Honda logo in chrome proudly sits in the middle that boasts of Quality Brand for an Indian customer.

With increase in the size of the car, there is no compromise in pleasure and fuel efficiency. The sedan segment car is priced between 18 to 26 Lacs.

Ed’s take: The fuel economy of the Honda Accord is just fine, if you do not drive it pedal-to-metal. The V6 however is a thirsty machine.

Honda Accord is equipped with a 2.4L engine that is available in 3 types with both automatic and manual transmission. These are Honda New Accord 2.4, Honda New Accord 2.4 Elegance and Honda New Accord 2.4 Inspire. All these variants come with 5 speed manual transmission gearbox and 5 speed automatic transmission gearbox with paddle shift availability to give a stimulating experience with better performance and fuel efficiency.

The Shift Holding System avoids unnecessary shifting of gears and gives a smooth driving experience. Honda New Accord with its powerful engine gives a mileage of around 7.3 kmpl in the city road and 10 kmpl on the highway .

Honda Accord that is equipped with 3.5 L V6 engine has i-VTEC type engine, an advanced Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) system that according to the driving condition switches amongst 6, 4 and 3 Cylinder combustion. Honda Accord 3.5L delivers impressive fuel economy in the VCM mode.
