Review MINI Cooper D Countryman

Review: MINI Cooper D Countryman
What does it offer?
When it comes to the looks, the MINI Cooper D Countryman closely resembles the standard Countryman S. This is like a typical diesel powered four wheel drive fit for the European automobile future of diesel variants. If you compare with it with a standard MINI, it is different in many ways. To some it may not appeal as much as the normal MINI but for the people who invest in change can be delighted with the change in the front fascia of the car altering its look entirely.
The Beauty:
See it from the front and the first thing you would notice are the headlights. They are not conventionally round anymore. The front grille has been transformed to give a much sturdier look to replace the old sad classic one!
Well, that’s my personal opinion and some might still prefer the old one. The MINI Cooper D Countryman has in no way lost the drive comfort of the MINI. Sit behind the wheels and you would definitely feel similar.
It’s pretty much the same driving pleasure with changes in the space and also under the hood.
The Beast:
The MINI Cooper D Countryman comes with a diesel powered engine. Pop under the bonnet and you will find a 1.6-litre, four cylinder turbo diesel engine which powers the car well enough. It has the same engine as the conventional MINI Cooper D. The engine is a modern development which makes sure that it gives out just the minimum noise.
The power is punchy for sure; it produces a maximum torque of 270Nm at 2000rpm. The car comes with a six speed manual transmission and buyers will have the option to choose either a “front wheel drive” or an “all wheel drive”.
The Thrill:
The MINI Cooper D Countryman comes with a power of 82kW at 4000rpm. Apart from the light weight of the car which gives it a punch every time you hit the throttle, the fuel economy of the car is pretty impressive too. Even in the cities, the fuel consumption is claimed to be around 4.4L/100Km and it will definitely be even better on the highways.
Overall, it’s light, fast and pretty economical too.

Interiors and Exterior:
With the size, the interior space of the car has been fashionable increased making it a more practical hatchback option rather than just a style symbol. The interiors of this car just like that of MINI are delightful with excellent driving seat placement. You can choose from having 4 or 5 seats according to your choice. It’s a car of substance with performance and power which can be checked through the exclusive speedometer with a tachometer on the side and a superb handling steering wheel control. The Countryman is practically 130 millimeters longer and 108 millimeters wider than the MINI which gives a lot of space for the front and back passengers.
The front look bears a happy face with a changed grille and stretched aggressive look which is a very positive change.
Should I buy one?
Personally, I don’t find anything in this car that can be disliked. It’s light, fast, zippy, stylish, fuel economical with reduced CO2 emissions. The space was a problem with the MINI, but not with the MINI Cooper D Countryman.
One can definitely opt for this exclusive hatchback.
Price and availability:
The MINI Cooper D Countryman comes at a starting price of $40,950 with a 1.6 diesel turbo and six speed manual transmission which is standard. Additions can be made which can stretch your budget to a maximum of $57,835.
