Volkswagen to Roll Out New One Seater Car

Is this the Volkswagen one-seater?

Single-seat cars come, gone, and remained as popular as the Segway, but Volkswagen is to give them a shot.  In an with the Financial Times. Leohold . Volkswagen’s head of revealed that a new electric-powered, car will be announced on September 8.

The new car, yet unnamed, will be “zero-emissions,” and extremely lightweight.  The moniker comes from the that buyers of this car also sign up for a VW renewable package.  To that end, the plans to invest up to US$173 in hydroelectric power in Brazil.

Of the zillion dollar question is Volkswagen will actually this EV concept car into and additionally how will they get electric vehicle to be truly free?

We’re not sure how it will but it’s a safe bet that it be similar to the VW L1 concept revealed a few back.

The single seater car will be for use, as in commuting from to office, and is part of VW’s to both lead in electric manufacturing and become the world’s automobile manufacturer by 2018.  the company will release versions of the Golf and Up! in 2013.  all go as planned, electric vehicles three percent of VW’s by 2013.

It could go over well in whether it will attract any on this side of the pond is story.  Talk to most and the idea of having one car for commuting, for long distances, is completely after all, a car must be to make all trips, including annual five hour between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
