List of Rivals

Nissan leaf.

Ford Focus electric.

Honda fit EV.

2014 Chevrolet volt.

Competitive analysis of rivals

Nissan leaf seems like a more grown up car than Mitsubishi i-MiEV. The tiny proportion of Mitsubishi is a compromise. Nissan leaf is a normal family car. Nissan leaf is only last for 70 miles on range front.

So Nissan leaf is as practical as any other hatch back. 2014 Chevrolet volt gets a range extender, unlike the Mitsubishi i-MiEV and Nissan leaf. Which means that gasoline engine is always on standby.

The base price of Chevrolet volt is on higher side as of $40,000.

2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV is better than its other competitors due to some of its features, which are its aluminum wheels, covered steering wheels, front fog lights and new trim bits inside and out range.

Available models

The 2014 model year i-MiEV ES model includes quick charge port. The models are different with each other due to some exterior and interior enhancements. Interior enhancements are passenger-side vanity mirror with lid, numerous decorative color/ trim upgrades, leather covered steering wheel and shift knob.

While exterior enhancements are black outdoor sash trim, front fog lights and new day time running lights (DRL).

Conclusion

Despite awkward proportions of Mitsubishi i-MiEV, the world of electric car is constantly changing now a days and i-MiEV has been one of the leaders in realm. It remains one of the EV pioneers. Due to extra features and reduced price, the 2014 model year gives it a little boost.
