Peugeot 508 RXH HYbrid4 review: price, fuel consumption and opinions

The Peugeot 508 RXH has been presented at the IAA 2011, and in Italy, after the commercial launch, is still searching for the desired success. Its purpose is to increase the supply of the PSA group for hybrid technology in diesel four-wheel drive, the same also on the Peugeot 3008 and Citroen DS5 Hybrid4.

And only available in wagon and the 508 RXH first glance it seems even a version offroad compared to normal French family 508 SW.

Segment of the market and rivals

Dimensions and trunk

Compared to SW change the size even if only slightly, the length grows in fact coming now to 482 centimeters, as the width of 186 and height of 153 centimeters. The same number of places remaining for five people, but again new to the trunk: to make room for the battery pack, this has been reduced to a minimum capacity of 423 liters.

Line and details

Aesthetically, the 508 RXH has a tail that mimics the lines of the whole body, so with a streamlined design that makes it seem shorter than it actually is. The trunk is large, however, and breaking down the backrests has a flat load floor and about two meters long.

Diesel hybrid engine

Specifically, the engine in question is a 2.0 displacement (1997 cc) with an output of 200 horsepower (147 kW) capable of reaching 213 kilometers per hour shooting from 0 to 100 in 8.8 seconds.


Consumption, its best talent, are 24.4 kilometers on a liter of fuel, and with a full traveling comfortably for 1,708 km. CO2 emissions, low, are just 107 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer.

The transmission is complete and the transmission is a six-speed robotized.

Standard equipment, options and packages

The only setting in the list provides airbags for the head, Isofix attachments, dual-zone automatic climate control, traction control, stability, cruise control, fog lamps and turning out the lights, the radio with CD, MP3 and Aux, the electric heated and folding door mirrors, height-adjustable front seats and rear split, the Head-up, then over to the bars on the roof, with glass roof and down the rear windows and the rear window.

The optional instead are the alarm to 305 Euro, alloy wheels from 18 inches to 155 euros, automatic climate control quadrizonae curtains windows and rear window at 455 Euro, bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights and automatic headlights to 910 Euro, the Hi-Fi JBL at 405 Euro, the black brake calipers bright to 205 Euro, the electric tailgate with luggage net to 605 Euro to 505 Euro programmable heating, leather seats, electric with memory for driver and front door mirrors 1,615 Euro, metallic paint to 605 Euro to 775 Euro or pearly.

The package is available only one: the Nappa leather or Alcantara to 1,615 Euro.
