You may have heard the recent  60 Minutes  segment that reported  the cleantech was in steep decline. There a few  reports  out there down the many fallacies of segment, with most concluding the sector is not dead, it is in booming and evidence of that momentum is everywhere you look. these five examples show just how good are for cleantech these days:

The solar industry is booming.

The are unequivocal: the solar industry is and well. According to a new report  released this week by Media Research and the Solar Industry Association (SEIA), was a banner year.

The Wall Street Journal recently reported  that investors are enthusiastically embracing solar again, siting “an industry of the past few years and falling of producing and installing solar-power as the reason for a “recent big gains in the

The handful of solar companies didn’t make it tend to more headlines. But on the whole, the industry has grown by leaps and in terms of job creation, generating and investor confidence.

2.  Federal are leading to incredibly successful

Not only is Tesla Motors one of the successful cleantech startups in the they are one of the most successful of any sector. They recently announced to invest $2 billion in a large-scale to produce cheaper batteries, and shares soared after of the company’s robust production They must be doing right to afford such growth, and none of this have been possible the Department of Energy loan that helped get them off the

And though Tesla is rightly up as an example of the United States’ to the advancement of clean technologies (to say of their cars ), they’re alone. You can find examples of startups federal loans to help tremendously successful companies all America.

3.  States are paving the way for cleantech success, too.

Take a look at New York. Governor Cuomo recently an initiative to provide an additional $30 to stimulate more large-scale and biogas projects in the New York area. Meanwhile, in Arizona, regulators are working on smart measures that would lay a foundation for a strong rooftop industry while still utilities to charge fair to solar rooftop customers.

like these are indicative of the trend – states increasingly the value in supporting the robust sector because advancements in energy are good for people, and the environment. And you can expect to see more examples of state-sponsored, market-based that benefit the public and sectors alike as word successful models like spread.

4.  More people are embracing

Of course, even favorable conditions wouldn’t amount to without strong demand for Fortunately, new data suggests after years of fluctuations, are increasingly interested. Solar wind energy, and hybrid and cars all saw a rebound in interest to prior-year levels.

Google’s $3.2 billion purchase  of Nest the company responsible for transforming home products, such as and smoke detectors, into smart appliances, is another that more people are cleantech. By purchasing Nest, was simply reacting to a market from customers whose (and investments) in smart, home energy management have shown a significant over the past few years.

5. Cleantech costs are falling.

costs play a huge in the cleantech industry’s success, according to the of Energy :

The cost of solar has dropped 75 percent since

The cost of LED lights fell 85 in that same time

Electric vehicle batteries 50 percent less today they did four years

There’s no question there is much work to be done. The United is at a crossroads, and there are still policy, regulatory, and market that EDF is working diligently  to remove so that an even adoption of cleantech may be achieved.  A investment in cleantech will the way for a sustainable, clean energy that grows our economy, families save money, and pollution that causes change.

So let’s give credit it’s due – the cleantech sector has off, whether the news it or not.
