Driven: Volvo’s V60 Plug-In

The V60 Plug-In Hybrid can do up to 50km on power alone.

All the weight means the V60 bumps the smallest imperfections on the road, is efficient at motorway speed and can heavy in fast bends.

The biggest drawback is still the though. The top-spec diesel without the hybrid technology is a full £6000 (R84 cheaper in the UK. Hence why Volvo sell hundreds of these but those who do buy one will have a green car on their driveways.

And one entirely conventional to drive and with. For those few early that’s something they happily pay for, unless are drummers that is.
